Another great time out and about with the photographers sharing skills and knowledge. A dozen people turned up all prepared to have a go at macro photography in the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden.
The cloud cover provided light box conditions but there was a small breeze blowing which provided a challenge, patience was required to get that crisp focus.
There was lots of discussion about camera setups and some people experimented with using two lenses connected together to achieve greater magnification.
As I spend quite a bit of time at the garden my personal challenge was to look at familiar subjects in a new way.
As a photographer there are always moments that come along when you least expect them. The shimmer of a wing, the path of light at dawn, the play of colours against each other. It always pays to have your camera with you.
